The Mental Health in Further Education Network and DfE Adult Education Mental Health Research projects are offering a series of short webinars throughout October to celebrate World Mental Health Day 2016. World Mental Health Day, 10 October is an opportunity to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and promote work and initiatives that support mental health.

The 'World Mental Health Day webinars are a chance to hear from colleagues working across the further and adult community education sector to support and promote mental health of learners and staff, and explore the benefits of learning for wellbeing.

Join us to:

  • find out about the work that is happening as part of the Community Learning Mental Health research into whether community learning helps improve mental health
  • talk to Association of Colleges leaders about the leadership role in supporting the mental health in further education
  • hear about the Thinking Environment as a way to nurture independent thinking
  • share the latest research findings, and much more

The webinars will be 45 minutes long and once you join you will be able to contribute, ask questions and make comments.

The programme of webinars is now scheduled on the MHFE and the Equalities Toolkit websites and it will be updated throughout October so please keep checking.
