Ambitious about Autism in partnership with the Association of Colleges and nasen, are leading two year programme funded by the Department for Education to develop and strengthen transition pathways for young people with autism so they can progress on to college, work and life as part of their home community.

At the heart of the Finished at School programme are four general further education college led Hubs who with partner mainstream and special secondary schools and Local Authority transition leads, are developing a model of transition support to enable more young people with autism including those with complex autism and learning disabilities, enter further education and training beyond school.

This dissemination event is an opportunity to share learning and progress from the first year of the programme in the context of the SENdefinition and Disabilitydefinition reforms that colleges will be implementing in September 2014.
